2024 Syrah (Beechworth)

100% Syrah, Sourced from the Iwanuch family’s vineyard in the Beechworth township of Baarmutha, this Syrah reflects the region’s balance of warmth and elevation. Matured in a mix of seasoned French oak and 20% new puncheons, the wine leans into depth and spice while holding onto lift and composure, favouring detail and structure over sheer power.

Notes of black plum and dark cherry lead the way, layered with violet, mulberry and a gentle savoury edge of olive and spice. Black and white pepper, clove and cocoa weave through the aromatics, adding complexity and warmth. The palate is supple and composed, with fine tannins and steady acidity carrying the fruit through a long, spice-laced finish. It’s a natural match for grilled lamb, slow-cooked dishes, or an indulgent night in with nowhere else to be.
